Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Athletic revealed that Reading wonderkid Michael Olise has an £8 million release clause.
Why does this concern Jurgen Klopp’s side?
Well, TEAMtalk revealed that the Reds are tracking the 19-year-old prospect, along with Merseyside rivals Everton.

Liverpool are no strangers to dipping into the Championship for talent.
Michael Edwards swooped down into the second tier to sign Georginio Wijnaldum, Andy Robertson and Xherdan Shaqiri after they suffered relegation with Newcastle, Hull and Stoke respectively.
In Olise, there’s another bargain with the potential to be special.
In just his third campaign in Reading’s first-team, the teenager has netted four goals while assisting seven more in 20 Championship appearances.

- Report: Liverpool could sign attacker similar to Mohamed Salah within hours; fee agreed
In The Athletic‘s article about the starlet, ex-Reading boss Jose Gomes described Olise as a ‘really special’ talent.
The man who gave the prodigy his Reading debut said: ‘Michael is really special. He can see, even before receiving the ball, more options than regular players. His technical ability and speed, decision capacity is really, really good.’
If The Athletic’s revelation is to be believed, surely Liverpool would be foolish to ignore Olise for such a bargain fee?
Of course, he wouldn’t walk straight into the first-team. However, with the likes of Harvey Elliott and Billy Koumetio waiting in the shadows as future stars of Anfield, why not add another one?
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about The Athletic’s news…
Michael Olise has an 8 million release clause. Got most key passes in championship. Olise has 4G and 7A for Reading at age 19. Can see this getting done. Further source on this is The Athletic.#LFC
