Arsenal may need to bring in a new playmaker in the January transfer window, with Mikel Arteta’s men struggling for goals.
The Gunners have scored just four times in their last 10 Premier League games, and only one of those goals came from open play.
With Mesut Ozil not even registered, Arsenal may need to sign another number 10 in the January transfer window – but have allegedly rejected one of them.
Calciomercato reported last week that Arsenal were offered the chance to sign Inter Milan playmaker Christian Eriksen… but they decided to reject him.
The former Tottenham ace was a creative force at Spurs, but Arsenal seemingly don’t think he can make an impact at the Emirates Stadium.
So what next for Eriksen? He hasn’t exactly impressed since joining Inter in January, and it now seems that they want rid of him.

Gianluca Di Marzio has quoted Inter CEO Beppe Marotta as saying that Eriksen is now on the transfer list, believing it’s ‘right’ for him to go elsewhere and seek playing time.
Arsenal will have the chance for a re-think with Eriksen now publicly available, and it will ultimately be up to Mikel Arteta and Edu to decide whether the Dane is worth signing after all.
