According to The Athletic, Everton are likely to make Bernard available for transfer in January despite keeping him on deadline day in October.
It’s claimed that Bernard is one of four players likely to be available next month, with defender Matty Pennington, midfielder Muhamed Besic and winger Yannick Bolasie also able to go.
Bernard was wanted by Roma on deadline day in October, and it’s reasonable to think that they would be interested again in January.
Roma boss Paulo Fonseca worked with Bernard at Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, so a reunion in the Italian capital would certainly make some sense.
Still, it’s quite the turnaround from Everton, as they rejected a £7million move with just hours of the transfer window left.
The Liverpool Echo reported that Carlo Ancelotti made it clear that Bernard was wanted at Goodison Park, promising him a role in the Everton setup.

However, the 28-year-old has only started one Premier League game this season with an additional three substitute appearances to his name, with only 174 minutes of league action under his belt this term.
It may now be best for the Brazilian to move on, as he hasn’t played for Everton in close to a month, with a move to Roma surely even more appealing now.
