Gary Neville praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on Sky Sports Football (5:52pm, December 20, 2020) while watching him in action against Manchester United.
The former United defender was on co-commentary duty during the Red Devils’ Premier League match against Leeds at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
In the second half, Neville praised Bamford for his goalscoring exploits this season, and believes that the stars have assigned for him in the Premier League this campaign.
Neville said about Bamford in the 63rd minute of the match on Sky Sports Football (5:52pm, December 20, 2020): “It’s incredible what can happen if a player can find the right coach, the right team, the right moment Bamford has.”
Important player for Leeds United
Bamford did not score for Leeds in their 6-2 defeat to United on Sunday evening, but the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker did have chances to find the back of the net.
The Englishman has established himself as a big player for Leeds and is the number one striker for the West Yorkshire club.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old has scored nine goals and provided one assist in the Premier League for the Whites so far this season.
For Leeds to have a successful season in 2019-20 and finish in a respectable position in the league table, Bamford has to continue to bang in the goals.
