Plenty of rival supporters have been left in disagreement with Gary Lineker’s tweet about Leeds United.

Lineker suggested that Leeds must be a ‘fun’ team to play against, after Manchester United beat them 6-2 yesterday.

However, many supporters felt that Lineker was being disrespectful towards Leeds with his claim.

And they pointed towards some of the impressive results that the Whites have picked up this season against other opposition.

Leeds may give up plenty of opportunities on the break, but whether they are ‘fun’ to play against is very much up for debate.

The Whites are certainly entertaining to watch, but to beat them they demand that any opposition teams put in a great deal of effort and energy.

Leeds’ relentless style means that it is hugely challenging to outwork them and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even admitted after the game that Manchester United found it challenging to match their work-rate, despite his side’s success.

Leeds’ brand of football has to be considered a success so far this season, as they have generally coped well since promotion, and currently sit in 14th place in the Premier League table.
