Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie could be in line for reunion with former manager Brendan Rodgers.

Christie was brought to the club by Rodgers’ predecessor Ronny Deila in 2015 before being loaned to Caley Thistle.

He would go on to enjoy two loan spells at Aberdeen before working his way into Rodgers’ side during the 2018/19 season.

The 25-year-old has gone on to become a key part of Celtic’s squad, scoring 19 goals in 43 appearances last season and playing 25 times so far during this campaign.

Rodgers left the club to take over as Leicester City manager in February 2019, and his side currently sit fourth in the English Premier League.

According to Eurosport, he wants to boost his squad by teaming up again with Christie.

They say Rodgers is interested in bringing Christie to the King Power Stadium and point out that the Scotland international is “not interested in extending his contract at this stage”.

Christie could be involved this afternoon as Celtic take on Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

Leicester, meanwhile, take on Jose Mourinho’s Spurs on league duty at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
