Bayern Munich wonderkid and reported Liverpool target Jamal Musiala is a player with ‘extraordinary’ ability, German legend Michael Ballack told Sport1.
Silky 17-year-olds are all the rage in European football right now.
And former Chelsea starlet Musiala has joined Pedri, Ansu Fati, Jude Bellingham, Gio Reyna and Eduardo Camavinga in shining at senior level even before his 18th birthday.
No wonder Bayern Munich are desperate to tie the England U21 international down to a new, long-term contract.
The Mail reports that Liverpool are sniffing around with the treble-winners yet to agree a contract extension with Musiala, whose current deal is due to expire in 2022.
In the eyes of one-time Bayern skipper Ballack, retaining the services of the midfield wunderkind is a must.
“Despite his lack of physicality, he is incredibly fast and agile,” the three-time Bundesliga winner said.

“He also has an extraordinary understanding of dribbling. You can see that clearly. His ball handling on the offensive and his vision are absolutely outstanding.”
The Mail adds that Jurgen Klopp, a coach who turned Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Robert Lewandowski and more into world-class talents, is a big fan of Musiala.
The teen sensation dazzled in a Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid recently, before scoring a brilliant goal in the 3-3 Bundesliga draw with RB Leipzig.
Musiala could now be rewarded with a £100,000-a-week contract at Bayern; one that would place him among some of the world’s best-paid teenagers.
