It was a top-of-the-table clash at Anfield and one that the Reds nicked with a last-minute winner from Roberto Firmino.

The Liverpool striker has had his critics this season, but he nodded home Andy Robertson’s corner to beat Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the dying stages.

Spurs had their chances when the game was at 1-1, particularly with Steven Bergwijn and Harry Kane missing gilt-edged opportunities, and Firmino ultimately made them pay.
