Allegations that Chris Pratt is ‘homophobic’ are spreading on Twitter again after Marvel just confirmed that the character he plays in Guardians of the Galaxy is bisexual. Chris Pratt has previously denied being anti-LGBTQ.

Over the past year, Chris Pratt has had a lot of backlash on social media over claims that he attends an Anti-LGBTQ+ church. The actor denied these claims, and the rumours that he is ‘homophobic’ appear to be false.

However, after Marvel just confirmed that Star-Lord, the character who Chris Pratt plays in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, is bisexual, these allegations have resurfaced on Twitter.

Marvel confirms that Star-Lord is bisexual

Marvel has just confirmed that the character of Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics is bisexual.

In the latest comic book issue titled I Shall Make You a Star-Lord, Peter Quill is trapped for almost 150 years on a planet called Morinus, where he befriends two humanoid beings, a female named Aradia and a male named Mors.

After spending 12 years with them, he eventually enters a polyamorous bisexual relationship with the pair.

For now, Star-Lord’s bisexuality currently only occurs in the comic book series. It is unknown whether the directors will incorporate his bisexuality into the movies where Star-Lord is played by actor Chris Pratt.

Chris Pratt ‘homophobic’ allegations resurface

Following the news that Chris Pratt’s character is now bisexual in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, allegations that he is ‘homophobic’ are resurfacing on Twitter.

The allegations began back in 2019 when producer Elliot Page accused Chris Pratt of attending an Anti-LGBTQ+ church.

However, Chris denied the claims on his Instagram Story. As reported by the BBC, he said:

“It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which hates a certain group of people and is infamously anti-LGBTQ. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

He then said: “I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone.”

Despite the actor denying he attended a ‘homophobic’ church, the allegations still continue to spread on Twitter, and people have been reacting to the news that Chris Pratt’s character Star-Lord is bisexual.

One Twitter user said: “What a joke knowing Chris Pratt is homophobic.”

“Star-Lord has always been bi but this is pretty ironic considering Chris Pratt is homophobic,” said another.

Many people are suggesting that Chris Pratt will now quit playing the role of Star-Lord after he was confirmed to be bisexual in the comics.

However, others have defended Chris Pratt, arguing that the ‘homophobic’ allegations need to stop as they are completely false.

Another person said: “Can we leave Chris Pratt alone until he actually PERSONALLY does something to someone. Attending church does not make HIM homophobic until HE DOES something homophobic. Even his cast mates are telling y’all to chill tf out. Are they bad people too?”

“Except Chris Pratt isn’t homophoboic. This odd narrative that people who have never met him have built in their heads that he’s some sort of homophobic monster is just bizarre. The dude’s said himself that everyone should love who they love and that’s it,” said another.
