Ivan Leko expects a difficult tie against Steven Gerrard’s side

Antwerp boss Ivan Leko says Rangers have to be considered favourites ahead of their last 32 Europa League tie.
The two sides were drawn against each other in Nyon this afternoon, and Leko has admitted his side were among the most appealing opponents for seeded teams.
Last season saw the Belgian side participate in European competition for the first time since 1994, and they currently sit seventh in their country’s top flight.
One place below them are Standard Liege, who were beaten home and away by Rangers in the group stage.

Steven Gerrard’s men topped Group D, and are unbeaten in 27 games across all competitions this season.
Leko has acknowledged the scale of the task his team face, but pointed out that favourites don’t always come out on top.
As quoted by Belgian outlet HLN, he said: “The fact that we have just got to fight for a place in the last 32 against Glasgow Rangers gives me a very satisfied feeling.
“They are one of the clubs with the most tradition in Europe.
“When we are at our strongest, there are certainly opportunities. Hopefully that will be the case – we will certainly prepare to be top at home and in the return in Glasgow.
“Is it feasible? It is possible, but let’s be honest. Every club with seeded status undoubtedly wanted to play us. They were always going to be the favourite.
“Only the favourite doesn’t always win in football.”
