Arsenal fans react to Folarin Balogun’s performance tonight

Arsenal beat Dundalk 4-2 in their final Europa League group stage game as they ended his stage of the competition unbeaten.

The Gunners went into the game with a 100% record in the group stage, and weren’t ready to let that go as they headed to Ireland.

Mikel Arteta’s men went into a 2-0 lead as Eddie Nketiah and Mohamed Elneny struck inside the first 20 minutes, only for Jordan Flores to pull one back.

Folarin Balogun then set up Joe Willock to make it 3-1, before the striker added a goal of his own, with Sean Hoare scoring a late consolation.

Arsenal advance having won every group stage game, and fans have been hailing Balogun – even though he only came on for half an hour.

The striker has shown huge promise in the Arsenal ranks, but could end up leaving in 2021 with his contract set to expire.

He bagged a goal and an assist tonight to show fans just how good he can be, and supporters were raving about him on Twitter tonight.

Some praised his hold-up play, believing that he is a more well-rounded player than Eddie Nketiah right now and has ‘something special’.

Others think he is exactly what Arteta needs in attack right now, branding him ‘the real deal’ after tonight’s superb cameo.
