Pundit and former Manchester United ace Rio Ferdinand has raved about Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min on YouTube.

Son scored yet again on Sunday, bagging the opening goal in the 2-0 win over Arsenal with a stunning long-range strike.

The South Korean then turned provider as he found Harry Kane to finish off a sweeping counter-attack, handing Spurs all three points.

Son has been in simply sensational form this season, smashing 13 goals and six assists in just 17 games across all competitions.

The 28-year-old has been absolutely key to Jose Mourinho’s attacking style, using his pace and direct style to cause havoc in open spaces.

Add in that he has a great relationship with Kane and makes the darting runs in behind to mesh with Kane’s deep-lying approach, and Son is just perfect for this Tottenham side.

Now, Ferdinand has offered praise to Son, suggesting that he would be in the top three of his ideal signings – most likely for Manchester United – because he is so direct, two-footed and dangerous in the final third.

Ferdinand posed the question of whether Son is the best Asian player to ever play in the Premier League, putting him up with ex-United ace Park Ji-sung in that conversation.

“If there was a player that I could take now that I feel would get the ball, he would be up there as one of my first picks, definitely in my top three,” said Ferdinand.

“I love the way he plays, he is direct, he hurts teams, wants to score all the time, can go off both feet and he looks like a fantastic lad as well, so who is the best Asian player to play in the Premier League?” he added.
