Celtic have made it clear on their official website this evening that Lennon will stay in charge of the first team.
The Scottish Premiership giants have made it clear that the board are fully behind Lennon despite the team’s struggles so far this season.
Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 31 points from 14 matches, while bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers are at the top of the standings with 44 points from 16 games.
The Hoops have failed to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League and have also been knocked out of the Scottish League Cup.
There have been protests from some Celtic fans who want the club to dismiss Lennon and appoint a new manager.
However, the club have made it clear that Lennon will remain as the manager of the first team.
Former Hibernian forward McManus, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, has given his take on Celtic’s decision to stay behind Lennon.
