Rodney Marsh has moved to mock Liverpool attacker Mo Salah on Twitter.
The Reds moved back level with Spurs at the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 demolition of Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield tonight.
Liverpool had a penalty appeal rubbished on 70 minutes when Salah went to ground under a challenge from Conor Coady.
It was the faintest of touches from the Wolves defender and referee Craig Pawson was having none of it.
And neither was Marsh, who mocked the Liverpool star and gave his ‘dive’ a score of 5/10.
It was Salah – a £34 million signing in 2017 – who had opened the scoring after 24 minutes, which gave Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League champions a slender lead at the break.
The rout started with half-an-hour to go, as further goals from Gini Wijnaldum, Joel Matip and a Nelson Semedo OG led to the visitors being thrashed.
Salah will no doubt be criticised by neutral fans for his attempts to win a penalty but, on a more positive note, this was the 17th Premier League that he has scored and assisted in, underlining his influence for Klopp’s troops.
