Jose Mourinho has hinted to Football London that he’s going to start Harry Kane for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal, in what looks like a major boost for his side.
Spurs head into the North London derby with some concern over their star player, who has missed training with injury this week.
Kane was absent from Tottenham’s last public session on Wednesday and did not feature in the Europa League against LASK last night.
But Mourinho thinks that by Sunday Tottenham’s main goalscorer will have recovered.
“I believe [Harry Kane] is going to be fit,” Mourinho said.
“I’m not sure. He’s having treatment but I could be doing some bluff and pretend he’s in trouble, but he’s not and I think he’ll play [against Arsenal].”
Tottenham actually scored three goals without Kane against LASK last night, but his absence was still felt.

Spurs didn’t look their usual selves, and their attacking play looked stifled without having Kane dropping into space and releasing their wide-players.
Tottenham’s attacks are built around Kane this season, and if the striker, who Ben Davies hailed as ‘amazing’ earlier this week to CBS Sports, is fit then their chances to victory will be greatly increased.
