Arsenal fans on Twitter couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing from Olivier Giroud as he struck four goals for Chelsea in the Champions League last night.
The France international has hardly been playing under Frank Lampard this season, with Tammy Abraham and summer signing Timo Werner in front of him.
But one of the Premier League’s most underrated figures turned it on against Sevilla and it left a number of Arsenal fans impressed.
Some would feel that there would be bad feeling between Giroud and Arsenal because he left the Emirates for Stamford Bridge a number of seasons ago.
But that’s not the case, as the Arsenal fans put their rivalry aside and applauded quite an achievement from the technically-gifted Frenchman.
It doesn’t help Arsenal’s cause that whilst they are struggling to score goals, Giroud is putting them away for fun on the highest stage of them all in club football.
