Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Sky Sports revealed that Jose Mourinho’s side are monitoring Brighton’s Ben White, along with Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Seagulls centre-back spent last season on loan at Leeds, where he earned a place in the EFL EA Sports Team of the Season.
Your Club’s BEST Player Out On Loan So Far
Marcelo Bielsa was so impressed by him that Leeds submitted three bids to sign him permanently, although no move materialised.
Now, Sky Sports reveal that Spurs are still on the search for central defenders despite signing Joe Rodon from Swansea.
White would be a phenomenal signing if Daniel Levy can pull it off – in him and Rodon, the north Londoners could have a centre-back pairing for the next decade.
However, it doesn’t seem as if the 23-year-old will come cheap.

Over the summer, Duncan Castles of The Times said on the Transfer Window Podcast that Brighton are looking to get ‘£55 million or more’ for their academy graduate.
‘I understand the figure that Brighton will be looking to sell him for is £55m or more, which is a remarkable fee for a player who has zero Premier League experience.’
While that fee is astronomical, the Poole-born defender has the potential to become one of England’s best centre-backs, and seems certain to become an England international in our view.
So far this term, White has broken into Brighton’s first-team, starting all ten of their Premier League games.
Let’s see how the Tottenham fans reacted to Sky Sports’ report…
this guy is absolutely immense, would honestly prefer him to skriniar

Big if true, absolutely love Ben White, he's different gravy and that means, different gravy price.

With the number of top clubs after him, Brighton can set any price they want. I don't think it'll be less than £50m. But he's totally worth it. https://t.co/W9uhqIBU1J
@SpursOfficial go and get Ben White. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again he’s class
