Ian Wright is worried that Harry Kane and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg could have a field day for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal, as per his comments on the Wrighty’s House Podcast.

Tottenham are set to take on Arsenal on Sunday, and they could inflict further misery on their North London rivals if they are able to win.

Jose Mourinho’s side currently lead the way in the Premier League table, with some of their performances this season particularly eye catching.

And Wright admits that he isn’t sure how Arsenal will deal with Kane and Hojbjerg at the weekend, as he feels they pick up spaces which could exploit the Gunners’ weaknesses.

“When I look at Arsenal and what Tottenham are doing now, and Tottenham’s frame of mind now, this is a game where they’ll say we don’t want a point in this game,” Wright said.

“I don’t even know what he [Arteta] is going to play, because you look at Xhaka and Ceballos, and what Bielsa did to them when he put Klich to push them even further back, it’s like Tottenham, if they do anything like that then they will have all that space to play in.

“Kane will drop into it, what’s going to happen with Hojbjerg? Hojbjerg is one of the most successful passers in the league at the moment, so is Lacazette going to play to drop on to him? I don’t know what they’re going to do.”

To see Hojbjerg being singled out as one of Tottenham’s biggest threats highlights just how well the Danish midfielder has done since his arrival this summer.

The former Southampton man has quickly become one of the first names of Tottenham’s teamsheet, and he has certainly added steel to their midfield.

Hojbjerg’s combative performances have been a major reason behind Spurs’s success this season, and he is the sort of character who will surely thrive in his first North London derby.

If Tottenham do beat Arsenal this weekend they will move 11 points clear of their local rivals at this early stage of the season.
