Kelly Clarkson had a small victory in her divorce battle, but she is far away from celebrating this news.

On Monday (November 30), the singer was granted custody of her two children that she shares with her estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock. However, it was later revealed that he is now seeking $436K a Month in Spousal and Child Support.

Kelly met Brandon in 2006 and admitted she knew right then he was the one for her. The pair got married in 2013. However, after years of being together, they started facing problems.

What happened after Kelly was granted primary custody?

After months of waiting, Kelly finally got good news after she found out that the court favored her over Brandon. “The Court finds that under the circumstances present in this case, the interest in providing stability and continuity for the minor children weighs in favor of Petitioner having primary custody,” the doc read as per the outlet. “The level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.”

It was further revealed that the pair was granted joint physical and legal custody of their children. At the same time, Brandon was allowed to talk to his children every day at a “mutually agreed upon time.”

Brandon is reportedly upset about the decision of Kelly to get primary custody. A source close to him told People, “Brandon’s been equally unreasonable in his requests for child and spousal support, as well as attorney fees. Kelly’s offered to pay for all the kids’ expenses, but Brandon seems to think he is entitled to and needs $301K in spousal support and $135K in child support per month.”
