The former Leeds United left-back Ian Harte has congratulated one young White who travelled with Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team to Everton on Saturday.
Niall Huggins appears to have been used as Leeds’ 19th man in the 1-0 win at Goodison Park, to be used in case of an emergency which never materialised.
And Harte, who is now an agent, tweeted on Sunday:
Despite being left on the sidelines, the experience should stand Huggins in good stead going forward – and offers encouragement over his chances of being offered an extension to the contract that expires next summer.
The Wales Under-21 international has been a regular in Mark Jackson’s Leeds Under-23s side this season, having reverted from a forward’s role to full-back.

He is the latest York-born talent to come through the ranks at Thorp Arch, with one of Harte’s clients, Jack Clarke, another.
Clarke was sold to Tottenham Hotspur for a reported fee of £10 million last summer.
But Leeds are now in a far better place to keep hold of the likes of Huggins, should they impress at first-team level, given their Premier League status.
