According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho will include Joe Rodon in the starting lineup against Chelsea.
It has been reported that Mourinho has been ‘very impressed’ by the performances of Rodon in training.
The 23-year-old central defender joined Spurs from Swansea City in the summer of 2020 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £11 million.
With Toby Alderweireld injured and Davinson Sanchez not in form, Rodon will start for Spurs in their Premier League game against Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London on Sunday evening, according to the report.
Promising talent
Rodon has played just 10 minutes in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The 23-year-old did not have a pre-season with Spurs, and one can understand why it has taken a while for the Wales international centre-back to get used to Mourinho’s way of playing.
Rodon is a very talented and promising young centre-back who has already played 10 times for Wales, and he has the potential to make it big at Tottenham.
