There will be a host of fresh events for Pokémon Go during December such as Kyurem raids and new research tasks, but – right now – there is a Nidoran event for trainers to participate in. This event has resulted in people asking how to get Shiny Nidoran, and here you’ll discover how to get it in Pokémon Go, plus how to evolve into Nidoqueen and Nidoking.

Aside from this event, there’s still the Lake Legends tasks and rewards available in Pokémon Go until November 30th at 22:00 local time. The Catch Cup will end on the same day at 13:00 PT, and then fans can anticipate Niantic’s big update for Go Beyond which will become reality in December.

While there’s plenty to look forward to next month, below you’ll discover how to get Shiny Nidoran and evolve it into either Nidoqueen or Nidoking.

How to get Shiny Nidoran in Pokémon Go

You can get Shiny Nidoran in Pokémon Go during the creature’s day event which finishes at 22:00 local time on November 28th.

In order to get a Shiny Nidoran during the Pokémon Go event, you will want to complete the timed research tasks and rewards that are available.

These tasks and rewards offer a whopping amount of encounters with both the male and female version of the creature (i.e. blue and purple).

The Shiny rate is increased for both creature’s throughout the event’s duration, so hopefully you’ll be able to get one of each.

How to evolve Shiny Nidoran into Nidoqueen or Nidoking in Pokémon Go

You need 125 Nidoran candy to evolve the creature into Nidoqueen or Nidoking in Pokémon Go.

Depending on the Nidoran creature, you will need to first evolve it into either Nidorina or Nidorino in Pokémon Go before Nidoqueen or King.

The first stage of the evolution will cost 25 candy, while you will need an additional 100 to complete the familial transformation.

If you want to evolve both the male and female Nidoran into Nidoking and Queen, you will need 250 candy altogether.
