
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the club’s official Twitter page that Ryan Jack will not play for the Gers this weekend.
Jack suffered an injury ahead of the Europa League game between Rangers and Benfica at Ibrox on Thursday evening.
The midfielder picked up a knock during the Gers’ win against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership last weekend, as reported by The Daily Record.
Rangers boss Gerrard has said that the 28-year-old defensive midfielder will not play for the Ibrox club this weekend.
The Gers will take on Falkirk away from home in the second round of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday.
Blow for Ryan Jack
The injury will come as a blow for Jack, who is a very important player for Rangers and has been playing regularly for the Gers.
The 28-year-old Scotland international defensive midfielder has made 12 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership and has made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The Gers are 11 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment.
