Glenn Hoddle thinks that Jose Mourinho will be frustrated wth Pierre Emile Hojbjerg for picking up a booking in Tottenham Hotspur’s game against Ludogorets last night, as per his comments to BT Sport.

With Tottenham 4-0 up and cruising, Hojbjerg just couldn’t restrain himself in the very last minute of stoppage time, as he chopped a Ludogorets player down from behind.

It was a rather needless foul, given the game was long over as a contest.

And Hoddle thinks that Mourinho may be annoyed with Hojbjerg for picking up such a cheap booking.

“For all his experience, that’s a foul from behind. Jose will be saying that ‘there was just no need to make the tackle’,” Hoddle said, during BT live coverage.

“But that’s his natural game, he wants to win the ball back.”

Tottenham, of course, will not want Hojbjerg picking up any suspensions as he has become such a key player for them.

The good news is that last night’s card was his first in the competition this season, so he is not yet treading a fine line.

However, the Dane will now be under pressure not to pick up any more yellows in Tottenham’s final two group stage games.

Spurs’s win against Ludogorets put them into a commanding position in their group, with one more win all that is required for them to qualify.
