He announced the release time of his latest album on Instagram yesterday but it’s led fans to ask one question: Is Bad Bunny retiring?

El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo aka The Last World Tour, will be available at midnight on Friday, November 27th. This album follows February’s Yo Hago Lo Que Me De La Gana (I Do What I Want) and May’s Las Que No Iban A Salir (‘The ones that weren’t coming out’).

The name of the album is cryptic enough but the video he shared on Instagram has fans worried that he is retiring. The film featured the rapper announcing in a press conference that he would be retiring from music, before flicking to him watching said press conference on TV and browsing through his albums.

Is Bad Bunny retiring?

The Instagram video seems to suggest that Bad Bunny will be retiring, but fans have noticed another thing that points to it too.

In his February album Yo Hago Lo Que Me De La Gana a song titled Carazon features the lyrics:

“In nine months I’ll come back and take another, to retire quietly like Miguel Cotto.”

That album was released on February 29th, which is almost nine months ago to the day, leading fans to believe that he will retire like he promised to.

Theories about the retirement

Although a Bad Bunny retirement looks likely, some fans have been speculating what exactly he means by the retirement.

TikTok user @torres.alejandro analysed the video shared on Bad Bunny’s Instagram and created a theory that he may be simply retiring his alter-ego aka Trap Bunny.

In the video, he is in the ‘Trap Bunny’ clothing, with a shaved head and face mask. However when he’s looking over the albums aka his ‘retired’ self, he’s in his regular clothing that he often wears now.

Fans’ reactions to Bad Bunny retiring

Of course fans of the rapper have been hit hard by the idea of him retiring.
