The out-of-favour Amadou Diawara would consider leaving Roma in January with West Ham United and Leicester City keen on the £23 million-rated midfielder, as reported by Forza Roma.
They do say you shouldn’t change a winning formula and it seems Giallorossi coach Paulo Fonseca has little interest in doing just that.
Roma have triumphed in five of their last six Serie A matches, with Diawara missing four of those with illness.
The former Napoli enforcer is back to full fitness now, but he faces an almost impossible task forcing his way back into Fonseca’s midfield with Lorenzo Pellegrini and former Aston Villa youngster Jordan Veretout a force to be reckoned with in the centre of the park.
Forza Roma reports that Diawara would be tempted by a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in the New Year.
While the club’s new American owners are keen to keep a talented squad together as Fonseca’s in-form side emerge as potential Scudetto dark horses, bids in the region of £23 million for a back-up player will be considered.

Forza Roma reports that West Ham and Leicester are both interested in a deep-lying number six who excels at breaking up opposition attacks and keeping the ball moving with his intelligent, sharp distribution.
But if regular first-team football is what Diawara wants, is West Ham or Leicester the right fit for the 23-year-old Guinean?
Tomas Soucek and the ever-improving Declan Rice are firmly established as David Moyes’ go-to men in the middle while Leicester have perhaps the finest defensive midfielder in the league in Wilfred Ndidi.
Perhaps Diawara would be considered an upgrade for Nampalys Mendy in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
