The full list of MOBO Awards 2020 nominees is here – here’s how to vote for your favourite artists.

The MOBO Awards, which celebrates music of Black origin, recognises artists and their achievements in hip hop, grime, jazz and more.

The nominations list has already been revealed on the music awards’ website and social media.

Here’s how you can vote for your favourites, as well as what’s new about the music awards this year.

How to vote for MOBO Awards 2020

The MOBO Awards will take place on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 at 7 pm GMT. You can watch the online ceremony on YouTube which is fronted by Rap titan Nines. He has received the most nominations this year.

There are just a few more weeks until the awards so act fast if you want your favourites to scoop a prize. This is the first ceremony since 2017.

This year’s awards has two new categories for the first time – ‘Best Media Personality’ and ‘Best Performance In A TV Show/ Film’.

MOBO Awards 2020: How to watch

For the first time in its history, MOBO Awards will be held as a virtual ceremony.

The show will be live-streamed on YouTube from 7 pm GMT.

MOBO Awards 2020 will be also broadcast on BBC One at 10.45 pm GMT with a highlights special uploaded on BBC iPlayer the same evening.

In addition, you can catch up DJ Target on his show (Wednesday, 7-9pm) who will dedicate a special edition to the awards with interviews and special performances with some of the 2020 nominees.

MOBO Awards 2020: Nominees

A number of artists who have scooped MOBO Awards have gone on to become well-known names in the music industry.

Skepta, Jorja Smith, Stormzy, Dutchavelli, Ivorian Doll, Headie One, J Hus, FKA twigs, AJ Tracey are just some of the people who have earned nominations this year.

Stormzy has received two nominations, for ‘Best Male Act’ and ‘Album of the Year’.

The ‘Best Female Act’ features the likes of Darkoo, FKA Twigs, Lianne La Havas, Mahalia, Ms Banks and Tiana Major9.

The MOBO Awards 2020 will be hosted by presenter Maya Jama and YouTube creator and comedian Chunkz.
