Arsenal managed to pick up a point away at Leeds United in testing circumstances on Sunday evening – but it was another blank for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Gunners were down to 10 men for most of the second half as Nicolas Pepe was dismissed for headbutting Leeds ace Ezgjan Alioski, but they held on for a clean sheet.
At the other end of the pitch, Arsenal are still struggling for goals. That’s now two blanks in a row, and just one goal scored in the last five Premier League games; that was a penalty.
Some fans are furious that Arteta has exiled Mesut Ozil, believing that the Gunners are really missing his creative influence in the final third.
It’s unclear just who can now step up to be Arsenal’s chief creator going forward, and Piers Morgan was unhappy after reading the Gunners haven’t scored from open play for seven and a half hours in the Premier League.
One man put their arm up for consideration to solve this problem – former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is a free agent having left West Ham United.

Wilshere’s shout was likely something of a joke, but the 28-year-old would seemingly fancy a return to Arsenal having spent 17 years with the club before leaving in 2018.
Gunners fans took to Twitter to respond to Wilshere’s shout, with many urging the midfielder to ‘come home’.
Some feel that he is the playmaker Arsenal need, and believe that he would bring a real lift to the club even if only signed until the end of the season – but whether Arteta agrees is another matter.
