Anton Ferdinand has praised West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna on Twitter for his performance against Sheffield United at the weekend.
The Hammers won 1-0 against United away from home at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Former West Ham centre-back Ferdinand was following the match, and he was impressed by the display produced by the 32-year-old centre-back.
How did Angelo Ogbonna play against Sheffield United?
Ogbonna was one of the best players on the pitch, as the veteran centre-back was a rock at the back.
The Italy international was solid defensively and was brilliant in the air, and there is no surprise that Ferdinand praised him on Twitter.
According to WhoScored, the 32-year-old took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 69.2%, won seven headers, took 48 touches, and made six clearances.
West Ham are doing well at the moment and have picked up 14 points from their nine Premier League games so far this season.
The Hammers will return to action next Monday when they take on Aston Villa at the London Stadium in the league.
