Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has claimed on Twitter that his teammate Lucas Digne is the best left-back in the Premier League.

Bolasie made the comments while watching Digne in action during Everton’s 3-2 win against Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old left-back had a brilliant game, as the France international provided two assists.

According to WhoScored, Digne played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 76.9%, won three headers, took 66 touches, attempted one dribble, made two tackles and one clearance, and put in five crosses.

Best left-back in the Premier League?

Digne is a very important player for Everton and is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

Whether or not the Frenchman is the best player in his position in the top flight of English football is debatable.

Andy Robertson of Liverpool is a superb footballer who has won the Premier League and the Champions League with the Reds.

Some will suggest that Ben Chilwell of Chelsea is better than Digne, while Enda Stevens of Sheffield United also merits a mention in the discussion.
