Stan Collymore has given his take on Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce on Twitter.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker has suggested that Bruce is a defensive-minded manager.
Collymore has said that the former Villa boss plays with a back-five, as shown below.
Need to improve
Newcastle did relatively well under Bruce last season, as the Magpies avoided the dreaded drop to the Championship and retained their Premier League status.
The team ended up 13th in the league table with 44 points from 38 matches and above the likes of West Ham United and Aston Villa and only five points behind Everton.
The Magpies are unlikely to get relegated at the end of the current campaign, but results and performances need to be better.
Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from nine matches. The Magpies have scored just 10 goals and have conceded as many as 15.
Newcastle lost 2-0 to Chelsea at St. James’ Park in the league on Saturday and will take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the league this coming Friday.
