‘Better than Laca, Pair him with Aubameyang’: Some Arsenal fans want former star brought back

Some Arsenal fans on Twitter have been calling for Olivier Giroud to return to the club.

The Frenchman’s agent has made it clear in recent days that he may look to leave Chelsea sooner rather than later, and his national team manager Didier Deschamps has also implored him to find a new club.

Arsenal could certainly do with a player of Giroud’s quality with both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang misfiring this season.

Yes, Giroud is a little past his best, but he’s still France’s all-time second top goalscorer and he has proven time and time again that he’s able to score goals at this level.

Add into this the new dynamic he would bring to Arteta’s side with his aerial prowess and you can see why Gunners fans want him back.

Whether or not this move comes to fruition remains to be seen, Giroud’s agent has said that he would like to move to another Premier League club, but with West Ham linked, the north London outfit may not be able to bring him in.

However, if the Chelsea ace is re-signed it seems as though he will be welcomed back with open arms.
