Ben Parker has suggested to LUTV that Leeds United could take advantage of Arsenal central defender David Luiz.
The former Leeds left-back does not think that Arsenal are great defensively, and has suggested that Luiz playing at the back could give chances to the Whites.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will take on Arsenal at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Parker told LUTV about Luiz: “I think he is a very, very good footballer, but for a defender who wants to defend week in week out, I just think his mind’s elsewhere sometimes.
“It just depends if he turns up. If his mind is on it, yeah he is a good player, but as a collective unit, I don’t think they work hard enough to stop the ball going into the back of their net.”
Not so easy
True, Luiz has made mistakes from time to time, but the Brazil international is a very good defender.
After all, the 33-year-old has played for Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and now Arsenal, and these top clubs would not have signed him if he was not good.
According to WhoScored, Luiz has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has scored one goal in two Europa League games for Arsenal.
With Leeds having lost their past two Premier League games 4-1, they themselves have to be careful at the back.
Arsenal do allow opposition teams chances, and Leeds will have to take them while keeping it tight at the back.
The match at Elland Road promises to be an exiting game of football, and there should be a few goals in it.
