Some Tottenham fans on Twitter are impressed by Steven Bergwijn’s new look after recent photos from a Spurs training session were published.

The Dutchman was sent home from international duty for not being fit enough earlier this month, but fans think that he’s looking a lot leaner in the recent pictures.

One supporter posted a comparison of Bergwijn now compared to an older photo, and it’s fair to say that he looks in better shape now.

Hopefully this can lead to improvement on the pitch and the explosive pace that saw him catch the eye in the Eredivisie can become a real asset for Spurs.

Bergwijn has had something of a slow start to the season for Tottenham, appearing in just four league games this term, and failing to find the net in any of those appearances.

However, if these pictures are anything to go by, he has been putting the work in on the training ground and in the gym, which does bode well for his chances of making an impact at the north London club.

The £25 million man has a tough task on his hands when trying to secure a consistent starting role with Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela all vying for spots on the wing.

However, it seems as though he may be up to the challenge, and if his transformation is as dramatic as those pictures suggest, Jose Mourinho will have no choice but to take notice.
