Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Sami Khedira from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Khedira wants to leave Juventus when the window opens in January after struggling for playing time so far this season.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring the former Real Madrid midfielder to Goodison Park, but the Italian will face competition from Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho, according to the report.
According to WhoScored, the Germany international made nine starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A last season, and has yet to make an appearance in the league this campaign.
Good signing for Everton or Tottenham Hotspur?
Khedira has been on the books of Juventus since 2015 and is a serial winner.
The 33-year-old won the Bundesliga with VfB Stuttgart, the La Liga title and the Champions League with Real Madrid, and Serie A five times with Juventus.
The midfielder also won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany and has had a very successful career.
However, Khedira is past his prime now, and although he has worked with both Ancelotti and Mourinho at Madrid, he may not be able to add a lot to what the Toffees and Spurs already have.
