Liverpool fans are hoping that Rhys Williams is fit to play against Leicester City at the weekend.

Williams posted a picture of himself in training at the weekend, and it was noticeable that the stretch was showing flexibility around his hip.

The Liverpool defender was sent home early from England under-21 duty, as he was feeling pain in the hip area.

But the hope is that the picture Williams selected to post on Twitter proves that his injury issue is no longer a problem.

If Wiliams does make it back in time to feature for Liverpool against Leicester, then he could just be in with a chance of starting.

The Reds are seriously short on numbers at the back, with Jurgen Klopp’s side having limited options in defence right now.

Nathaniel Phillips has tended to be favoured in the Premier League over Williams, but the 19-year-old has never looked overawed when given an opportunity in Europe.

And Klopp may just decide that he is more suited to playing against Leicester than Phillips, due to his added speed to deal with the pace of Jamie Vardy.
