Carlo Ancelotti has addressed reports linking Everton with a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco.
Speaking to DIRECT TV Sports (via Goal), the former Chelsea manager said: ‘It is not true that I am behind Isco. We haven’t started thinking about the team for the January market.’
While the Italian has clearly poured a lot of cold water on this transfer rumour, it wouldn’t be completely unrealistic to see the Spain international rock up at Goodison Park.
It was Ancelotti who handed Malaga £23 million for the attacking midfielder’s services back in 2013, where he then praised the former Valencia prospect.
The BBC quote the Toffees boss as saying: ‘From what I have seen of him, it’s clear he has a lot of quality.’

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Ancelotti reunited with Isco, especially after he moved to sign James Rodriguez for a third time over the summer, having previously brought him to Real Madrid and then Bayern Munich.
If Calciomercato are to be believed, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss could also be reunited with another of his former Real Madrid stars in Sami Khedira.

The 33-year-old hasn’t played a single second of football under Andrea Pirlo for Juventus this season, and German outlet Bild state that the Stuttgart-born midfielder is thinking of leaving Turin.
At this rate, Everton could have a star-studded XI turning out on a weekly basis given the calibre of names linked with a move to Merseyside.
