Details about Death in Paradise season 10 and its cast are starting to emerge but does the upcoming series have a release date yet?

Since it arrived on our screens in 2011, Death in Paradise has become one of BBC One’s most popular series.

The Caribbean murder mystery has proved a real fan-favourite thanks to its gorgeous and sunny scenery, fresh formula and captivating cases.

With a dark winter in prospect, fans have started to turn their attention to season 10 of Death in Paradise.

But just when is Death in Paradise season 10 due to come out? Has its release date been announced?

After his arrival in 2020’s series 9, DI Neville Parker is quick to find out that change is a constant factor on Saint Marie.

While he was the newest member of the team when he arrived halfway through season 9, Ralf Little’s character is set to be joined by a host of faces old and new in what promises to be a captivating new series of murder mysteries.

New and familiar faces

When it arrives, series 10 of Death in Paradise promises to be a real treat as it’s been confirmed that Sara Martins, who played DS Camille Bordey between seasons 1-4, will be returning to the fictional island of Saint Marie for a two-episode storyline.

Not only that, but Josephine Jobert will be reprising her role as DS Florence Cassell after missing series 9 according to the RadioTimes.

Leaving Saint Marie in series 10 are Aude Legastelois and Shyko Amos who played Madeline Dumas and the commissioner’s niece, Ruby Patterson, respectively.

On top of that, it’s also been confirmed that Tahj Myles will be taking on the role of Marlon Pryce in the Saint Marie Police Force.

Season 10’s release date

  • The release date for Death in Paradise season 10 has not officially been announced at the time of writing.

However, every single series of the Caribbean murder mystery, except 2011’s series 1, has arrived in January.

As a result, you’d expect the same to be the case for season 10.

Although, given the delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see season 10 arrive a little later than planned.

According to Digital Spy, production on Death in Paradise season 10 was originally due to start in April 2020 but thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the start of filming was delayed until July.
