According to the Express and Star, Roderick Miranda is now training with the Under-23 side at Wolves as he awaits the next step in his career.

Remember him? The 29-year-old hasn’t actually made an appearance for Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo since May 6th 2018, after he played 90 minutes in a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland.

Since then, Miranda has spent time on loan with Olympiacos and Famalicao.

However, he’s now in limbo after returning to Molineux over the summer.

Despite being linked to Portuguese outfits Belenenses and Rio Ave over the summer (Express and Star), no permanent exit from the Midlands materialised for the Odivelas-born defender.

It is a very sad way for Miranda’s Wolves career to come to an end.

After Wolves spent £2.5 million to sign him, the former Benfica man made 19 appearances under Nuno, helping the club achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Sadly, he wasn’t able to reap the rewards of that achievement with any game time in England’s top-flight, as he joined Olympiacos on loan.

In fairness to Nuno, the ex-Porto boss had the likes of Conor Coady, Romain Saiss and Willy Boly to call upon, while Max Kilman and Leander Dendoncker have since become options at centre-back.
