According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are keen on Marseille defender Jordan Amavi amid fears Patrick van Aanholt could leave.
It’s noted that Van Aanholt is out of contract next summer, and the Dutchman could end up leaving Selhurst Park on a free transfer.
Palace are therefore looking at potential left back signings, with Amavi one target alongside Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.

Return to England
If Amavi does end up heading to Palace in 2021, he would be making a return to the Premier League having previously been with Aston Villa.
Amavi joined Villa from Nice in 2015, having starred in Ligue 1 – but he managed just 12 Premier League appearances for Villa in a dismal relegation season.

After one season in the Championship, Amavi returned to France with Marseille, and has been a key player with more than 100 appearances for the club.
Villas-Boas praise
Andre Villas-Boas is Amavi’s boss at Marseille, and the former Chelsea manager has been effusive with his praise for the 26-year-old.
Just last month, Villas-Boas was quoted as saying that Amavi is ‘amazing’, praising his defending, aerial ability and his pace.
That’s a ringing endorsement for Palace if they do want to sign Amavi, but much will depend on Van Aanholt’s situation.
