Danny Mills has annoyed Gabriel Agbonlahor with his criticism of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish last night.

Grealish was given widespread acclaim for his display in England’s 2-0 loss to Belgium.

However, Mills took on a rather different view to most, and suggested that the Villa man was getting too much praise.

“What’s his role in the team,” Mills wrote.

“Did he score? Did he get an assist? Did he test the keeper?

“Sounds like the best attacking midfielder on the planet.”

The Instagram post did not go down well with former Villa man Agbonlahor, who was quick to respond on Twitter.

Mills has been one of Grealish’s biggest critics to date, but his words now seem extremely harsh.

Grealish was nothing short of exceptional last night, with Gareth Southgate singling him out for praise after the match.

The Villa man now may well have established a place for himself in the Three Lions’ starting line-up, such was the quality of his display.

Grealish will play one more game for England in the coming days, with Southgate’s men set to take on Iceland in midweek.
