Arsenal made headlines on deadline day with a big-money deal for Thomas Partey, but they also tied up another signing.
The Gunners took a look towards the future by bringing in youngster Nikolaj Duus Moller from Malmo in his native Sweden, paying 5 million krona – around £435,000.
Former of Bologna, the giant striker has earned comparisons to another former Malmo striker in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, though that is a very premature suggestion.
The 18-year-old has been playing for Arsenal’s development side in Premier League 2 this season, and his record is hugely impressive.
In just three games, Moller already has three goals and one assist to his name, making huge strides just over a month into his Arsenal career.
That progression seems to have gone a step further, as Moller posted a photo on Twitter on Thursday, which showed him in first-team training for Arsenal.
Boss Mikel Arteta was watching over Moller having called him up to the senior squad, marking a rapid rise for the Swede.
A first-team debut likely won’t come any time soon, but Moller is doing enough to earn an early promotion – and fans will be hoping that he uses this as a springboard for future success.
