According to Calciomercato, Torino want to sign Silkeborg defender Frederik Alves Ibsen despite him being close to joining West Ham United.
It’s claimed that Torino are offering a late challenge for Alves Ibsen, and could move to hijack West Ham’s move at the last minute.
Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Alves Ibsen had been in London to finalise a move to West Ham, which would cost £1.2million.
Leeds United and Rostov both wanted to sign Alves Ibsen too, so West Ham were seemingly pretty pleased to have closed in on a deal.
However, the move hasn’t been finalised just yet, with TV2 claiming that he needs a work permit to join the Hammers.
Until everything is rubber-stamped, West Ham do risk missing out on Alves Ibsen, with Torino now offering a new challenge.

It wouldn’t even be a surprise to see Leeds come back in with a move of their own if West Ham can’t tie up a deal, as they have been prolific in terms of youth recruitment.
These new rumours in Italy should serve as a major warning to West Ham, and they need to get the 20-year-old signed up soon – or risk being hijacked.
