Aston Villa were exceptional on Sunday night, as they hammered Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Dean Smith’s men were the better side from the first whistle to the last, and John McGinn’s first-minute strike being disallowed was just delaying the pain for Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka’s own goal gave Villa the lead, and Ollie Watkins bagged a second-half brace to seal a huge 3-0 win for the Villans.
One of the stars of the show was Jack Grealish, as the playmaker continues to excel this season having signed a new deal at Villa Park over the summer.
The 24-year-old picked up another assist last night as he set up Watkins’ second goal, and came close to a goal of his own as he had a shot cleared off the line.
Grealish is just so good at carrying the ball, going past players and creating chances in the final third, and Tottenham may well have some regrets.

Spurs famously wanted to sign Grealish for £25million in the summer of 2018, but left it so long to sign him that Villa had new investment and refused to sell at any price.
Spurs no doubt wish they had made their move sooner, as they would have to pay a lot more to sign him now – and Tottenham’s head of player development Ryan Mason took to Twitter to praise him on Sunday.
Mason branded Grealish ‘outstanding’ for his performance against Arsenal, suggesting that England now need to use him and get the best out of him having starred once again.
