Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins has told Sky Sports, during their live Premier League coverage, that he is actually an Arsenal supporter.
Watkins scored twice in the second-half yesterday to help down Arsenal, as Aston Villa claimed a 3-0 victory.
The Villa striker first scored a header from close range, before finishing well with his left-foot after being played through by Jack Grealish.
Watkins’s double ensured that Villa would take the three points back to the Midlands with them.
But after the game, Watkins joked that his family may not be too happy with him.
“I’m not sure my grandad or uncle Baz are going to be too happy!” the £33 million striker (Daily Mail) said.
“They are Arsenal fans and I am an Arsenal fan myself – but I’m buzzing. I am sure they will love it really. I am over the moon.”

Watkins is developing a happy knack of scoring in big games for Villa.
The striker has five goals in appearances against Liverpool and Arsenal this season, and he looks like an excellent addition to Dean Smith’s side’s squad.
Villa’s win yesterday has catapulted them up to sixth place in the Premier League table, which represents an excellent start to the season.
