Glenn Hoddle said on BT Sport 2 (6:48pm, November 5, 2020) that Harry Kane could catch Jimmy Greaves at the top of the Tottenham Hotspur goalscoring chart.

The Tottenham legend believes that if Kane stays at the club, then he could end up as the top goalscorer of all time.

The England international striker scored his 200th goal in his 300th game for Spurs in their Europa League match against Ludogorets Razgrad on Thursday evening.

Greaves is the top scorer of Spurs, having found the net 266 times in 379 appearances for the North London club, as stated on Tottenham’s official website.

Hoddle said about Kane on BT Sport 2 (6:48pm, November 5, 2020): “I think if he stays at the club, I think he could actually catch Jimmy.”

Tottenham Hotspur stay

Kane is 27 years of age, and it is clear that he has a number of years left in him at the top level.

The England international has proven to be a consistent goalscorer, and there are no signs that he is slowing down.

If Kane was keen on leaving Tottenham, then he would have done so by now. With a serial winner in Jose Mourinho now in charge of the North London club, the Englishman could win major trophies and silverware at Spurs and would not have any need to move to another club.
