Speaking to talkSPORT: Trevor Sinclair has called for West Brom to stick by Slaven Bilic as the Baggies battle to remain in the Premier League.
The Midlands club’s season hasn’t gone to plan so far, failing to win a single game in their opening seven matches, and their defeat to Fulham on Monday saw them move back into the relegation zone.
It hasn’t taken long for the Bilic-out brigade to rear their heads, with some fans already eyeing up a potential successor. but Sinclair believes that getting rid of the former West Ham boss would be pointless.

“I just feel the players are possibly not good enough, so what’s the point of sacking Slaven Bilic and bringing in a new manager that has to get to know the players and then give him money to put his stamp on the team,” Sinclair said on talkSPORT.
“I think he’s done well enough to get them promoted in the first place, back your manager.”
Blaming West Brom’s problems solely on Bilic is quite lazy.
The Croatian is a more than capable manager at this level, taking West Ham to the Europa League during his tenure at the London club, but Sinclair may be right about the players not being up to the task ahead of them.
West Brom weren’t big spenders in the transfer window, and they’ve even got rid of one player Bilic wanted to keep with Ahmed Hegazi being allowed to leave behind his back.
The manager is doing the best he can, but without proper financial backing he may be doomed to fail.
Sacking Bilic wouldn’t necessarily fix any problems, and unless the Baggies have a top-class gaffer waiting in the wings, it would be a massive risk as there’s no assurance they’d get somebody as accomplished as their current boss.
