Liverpool wide man Harry Wilson was in limbo for much of the transfer window, as his future at Anfield seemed pretty unsure.

Wilson spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, earning Premier League experience after excelling in the Championship with Hull City and Derby County.

The Welshman didn’t exactly set the Premier League alight, and that meant that he didn’t really push himself any closer to the Liverpool first team.

Liverpool couldn’t find a buyer before the European deadline, and rather than keep him sitting around at Anfield doing nothing, they loaned him out to the Championship again.

This time, Wilson headed on loan to Cardiff City, where he has already made quite the impressive start, bagging two goals and one assist in four league games.

Wilson hit Cardiff’s third goal in their 3-0 win over Barnsley on Tuesday night, slamming a superb long-range strike into the top corner of the net.

Ex-Liverpool coach Michael Beale took to Twitter to react to the game, branding it ‘outstanding’ as the Reds loanee showed his quality.

Whether that changes his Liverpool future remains to be seen, but at least a former Red is a huge fan; who knows, maybe he can join Beale at Rangers one day.
