Some Rangers fans aren’t buying claims made by Bongani Zungu on his first day at Ibrox.

Zungu signed for Rangers on loan from Amiens at the start of the month, but was immediately required to quarantine.

With his spell in isolation over, the 28-year-old could finally join his new colleagues at the Rangers Training Centre on Wednesday.

And it was he who was put forward for media duties alongside the Gers boss Steven Gerrard earlier this afternoon.

But the following response failed to go down as well as Zungu might have thought…

Zungu has been named in Rangers’ European squad, putting him in contention for Thursday’s visit of Lech Poznan to Ibrox.

But it remains to be seen if the 29-cap star will feature against the Polish side, given his recent lack of practice.

Zungu spent the start of the French season banished to the Amiens reserves, but returned to appear twice for his parent club before leaving for Rangers.
