Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra expansion is filled with legendary Pokémon, such as the psychic cloud Cosmog and its ultimate evolutions, Solgaleo and Lunala.
Many of the legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra can be a real challenge to track down and capture, forcing the player to explore the game’s Wild Area or solve obscure riddles before a climactic encounter and the chance to catch the rare and powerful monster.
Not Cosmog: as something of a freebie, the expansion to Pokémon Sword and Shield will happily gift the player this particular Pokémon. Even evolving Cosmog to get Solgaleo and Lunala isn’t too challenging.
How to get Cosmog in the Crown Tundra
To get Cosmog in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC, simply talk to the Pokémon and its owner inside a house in Freezington after you’ve fought either Glastrier or Spectrier.
The house in question can be spotted because a Spheal is stood outside with its elderly trainer. Heading inside, you’ll find a Cosmog and an old woman – speaking to the Cosmog after you’ve finished the DLC’s steed storyline will prompt the woman to give you the Cosmog, who is named Fwoofy.
Your next challenge is evolving this Cosmog into either Solgaleo or Lunala in order to get the most out of this free legendary Pokémon.
How to evolve Cosmog into Solgaleo or Lunala in Pokémon Sword and Shield
Cosmog evolves into Solgaleo in Pokémon Sword and Lunala in Pokémon Shield. Depending on the version of the game you own, you’ll receive a different Pokémon.
Cosmog first evovles into Cosmoem starting at level 43 (although this can be delated using an Everstone or simply by cancelling the evolution by pressing B while it is mid-process). Cosmoem then evolves again at level 53 into either Lunala or Solgaleo.
Considering the hoops that players must jump through to get other legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra, the journey to get Cosmog (and, therefore, Solgaleo or Lunala) is relatively straightforward.
